Building Capacity
One of Irini’s missions is to build clinician capacity with literacy. Irini is able to put research into practice and teach clinicians how to maximize their therapy time with clients. With her extensive experience, she is also able to help clinicians problem-solve through complex cases and make breakthroughs with their clients.
Whether you are a looking for help on a specific client case, or you are looking for continuing education in literacy, Irini’s workshops or 1:1 coaching and mentorship will meet your needs.
The Process

Professional Development
Irini provides professional development and workshops to therapy practices, schools, professional organizations, clinician groups or parent groups. Topics include spelling beyond traditional spelling conventions, why words “break rules”, essay writing development with executive function difficulties, what do do with your child’s new diagnosis, and reading remediation in adolescents and adults. Irini also provides customized workshops to meet specific clinical needs in a practice area.

1:1 Coaching and Mentorship
SLPs who are seeking to grow their practice in the areas of language and literacy, including reading, spelling, and writing, can seek out coaching and mentorship services from Irini. Irini will build the clinician’s capacity through video review and ongoing guidance of the clinician’s work. Clinicians seeking to take on more challenging clients (but unsure of how to do so) will especially benefit from this service. Each coaching and mentorship plan is customized to the clinician’s needs.
Workshops
Clinicians are welcome to attend workshops offered by Irini. Where much professional development focuses on theoretical knowledge and the “whys” of therapy, Irini designs workshops to focus on the “how”. Clinicians will walk away with knowledge and skills that can be immediately applied to their client sessions.
